Registration and Abstract Submission

Abstract submission

You are encouraged to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations! To do so, you are invited to register and submit an abstract online (see instructions below). A confirmation message will be sent to your e-mail address. The deadline for abstract submission is June 6th, 2017.

The Scientific Committee will select the oral contributions and posters based on the submitted abstracts. Authors will be informed about the decision not later than June 26th, 2017.

A book of abstracts (for keynotes, and both oral and poster presentations) will be available for every participant and will be handed over during registration on 20th of Sptember, 2017.

 

Instructions for abstracts

Abstract must be sent in a single .doc or .docx file, limited to 1 (one) page and written in standard English. A template for the abstract can be downloaded hereThe document must contain only the text with the title, authors, affiliations, abstract, acknowledgments, and references (maximum of 2). The abstract and references are limited to a maximum of 2,000 characters, including spaces. You have to fill out the LAPhPB form here and upload the .doc or .docx file using the system “make a submission”.

Page Format: A4 (210 x 297 mm), portrait, superior and inferior margins 3 cm, left and right margins 2.5 cm, font Times New Roman 12 (except for the title) and single spaced.

Title: on the page top, font 18, bold and centered. Do not capitalize the title. Add a blank line, single spaced (font 12) before the name of the authors.

Authors: font normal, centered. Underline the author name who will present the work. Use numeric superscripts to identify authors’ affiliations (omit the identification if there is only one institution). Add a blank line, single spaced (font 12) before the addresses.

Address: italic, centered, use the numeric index on the left side. Present the authors' affiliation addresses. Indicate affiliations with the superscript number used at the author's name. Do not add a blank line, single spaced (font 12) before the e-mail.

e-mail: italic, centered. Provide the e-mail address of the corresponding author. Add two blank lines, single spaced (font 12) before the keywords.

Keywords: font normal. Indicate up to 5 words that represent your work. Add a blank line, single spaced (font 12) before the abstract.

Abstract: font normal, justified, it may contain figures, tables, photographs, etc. Do not add a blank line, single spaced (font 12) before the keywords.

The abstract must have Introduction; Experimental Procedure; Results and discussion; and Conclusions. Add one blank line, single spaced (font 12) before the Acknowledgements.

Acknowledgements: font normal. Agencies or people to be acknowledged. Add one blank line, single spaced (font 12) before the References.

References: font normal, list of papers cited in the abstract. Reference in the abstract must be indexed using brackets [1], up to a maximum of 2.

Do not use page numbers, headline and footnote.

The abstract will be accessible until the deadline of submission.
